Sunsets in Mauritius: The BEST you will EVER see!

We were in Mauritius for little over a month, and saw some of the best sunsets there! This was the highlight of our day, everyday! As we leave Mauritius and move on with our travels we can’t go without sharing our favorite sunset pics.

Each day the sky had different hues of orange, blue and pink! As we moved to different parts of the island the landscape changed, adding more drama and giving a different perspective to the setting sun.

There were days we decided to leave our cameras turned off so we could “be in the moment” and watch the sun melt into the ocean. From the days that we had the camera with us, here are our best shots!

Comment below and let us know which one is your favorite.

Sunsets in Mauritius

One of the many lovely sunsets we watched from right across our hotel in Pereybere, almost every single day!
A different day and another glorious sunset from the public beach at Pereybere.

Taken on our getaway at the Westin resort in Balaclava, the rocks, clouds and the sun conspired to create this awesome birthday treat!
Another one from the Westin resort in Balaclava. I love how the blue and pink hues paint the sky and water, as the sun melts into the ocean!
A couple strolling on Flic en Flac beach
Grand Baie is a bustling beach lined with catamarans and boats of all sizes. These floating vessels made for beautiful silhouettes against the setting sun.
The sky seemed like fire, and the clouds like smoke, at Grand Baie.
On another evening in Grand Baie, the sun brilliantly casts it’s reflection on the calm waters. One of my favorite shots.
Our last day on the island in Grand Baie! We watched the sun set while sitting on a bench eating delicious chili cutlets (or vadas as Indians would call it) from nearby street vendors.

Do you have a favorite sunset shot from the ones above? Or how about your favorite destination for sunsets. From one sunset chaser to another… we would love to hear from you! Comment below.
